The Nepali team, who arrived in Jordan for the AFC U-16 Championship selection, are playing their first game tomorrow (Saturday).
Nepal will start the tournament on Saturday with a strong team and home team Jordan. The match between Nepal and Jordan will take place at Prince Mohammed International Stadium in Jarka City, Amman.
To win Nepal against a strong Jordan would be like crushing iron. However, Nepal will at least plan to stop Jordan at par
Nepal coach Sunil Shrestha said that although there are many challenges in the first game, there are plans to stop the tie.
“Jordan is a strong opponent and playing in their home ground will certainly put a lot of pressure on us. Our first goal is to stop them at par, ‘Shrestha told the pre-match conference,’ for this we have to strengthen our defense. We have to take full advantage of it by creating a chance to score a counter attack. ‘
Nepal is in Group A for the Championship selection, which will be held in the 5th. Nepal’s group includes Kuwait, Tajikistan and Sri Lanka along with organizer Jordan.
Nepal will play Kuwait on 16th September after Jordan. Nepal will play the final game against Sri Lanka on 22nd September, when they face Tajikistan on October 3.
